Academic essay-writing is where logic meets magic. It’s both a discipline and an art-form, and learning how to approach it is part of why you’re at university in the first place. 


You could write in the most beautiful prose possible, with a great flair for language, but that’s not the whole story when it comes to critical or analytical writing.


One of the best things about academic essay-writing is being given a chance to put your own personal stamp on any given topic. But this intellectual freedom also has certain rules and conventions that you must master if you're going to be successful.
